OXM Breakdown rips through Final Fantasy XIII-2 and JRPG fans

Played Final Fantasy XIII-2? Bit of a JRPG fan? Then you'll either love or take exception to this week's OXM Breakdown, which takes apart Square-Enix's new game as well as pretty much everyone who plays it. Don't worry, that includes OXM's Log himself, so don't feel you're being victimised.

We had a laugh watching this - the OXM lads sure aren't shy of playing up for the camera. Or editing Wikipedia articles...

Watch out for the swears, though, if you're too young/too at work for that sort of thing.

Enjoyed that? Then why not head over to Official Xbox Magazine's official site and tell them which game you'd like them to break next?

That was hilarious. I thought a lot of what he said was pretty true most of the time as well.

here never said anything bad about the game, plus everyone has their own tastes like to me the older FF games look like Generic cut and paste rpgs and the more recent ones have done stuff to make them unique

Holy crap, one of the funniest things I've seen all day. And I spent my last lesson looking at MLP memes. The bit at the end about the uno cards had me in bits. This guy reminds me so much of Greg Davies, I'm legally required to love him and his facial hair.

I loved both FFXIII and 2, but I can totally see why people hate the shit out of them.

    Didn't OXM give FF XIII-2 a 9? I could be mistaken.

I believe they liked it, the idea was just to see how much they could pull it apart. I'd love to see this done to any big game, as Yahtzee has shown with Zero Punctuation there's very few games which can hold up if you come at them from the right angle. Even if you actually think the game is fantastic, these can be pretty entertaining and probably quite a good exercise in game design and where improvements can be made. Here's to more of these!
