OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast review

For when you don't care how pimped your ride can get

Why you can trust GamesRadar+ Our experts review games, movies and tech over countless hours, so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about our reviews policy.

Coast 2 Coast combines the checkpoint-to-checkpoint racing of the arcade games with other, more mission-based modes to further hone your skills. Instead of outrunning the clock, you're either trying to complete goals set by a friendly flagman or obey the wild requests of your current girlfriend.

Such demands include cutting lines tied between two moving cars, avoiding incoming meteorites and splattering wayward ghosts (...yes). The kick is that while you're being graded on how well you're listening to your woman, you've also got to mind the clock - the checkpoints are still in effect and the whole race can end if you're not fast enough.
