FIFA 06 scores a hat-trick as it enters its third week at number one, while Tiger Woods holds on to second place with PGA Tour 06, and Spartan Total Warrior marches up to third from last week's eighth place entry.

Activision and Marvel team up for Ultimate Spider-Man, which nets slot four and is the only new entry in this week's top 10. Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood from Ubisoft forges up the chart, leaping nine places from 16 to seven.

Activision's second Marvel collaboration hits the charts at 11 in the form of X-Men Legends II Rise of the Apocalypse, with the final two top 20-hitting games coming in at 15 - movie tie-in Wallace & Gromit The Curse of the Were-Rabbit - and 18 - retro gaming with Taito Legends.

The release line-up is getting busy as a host of long-awaited games hit the shelves this week: paranormal FPS FEAR is on sale today (18 October), while Quake 4, Pro Evolution Soccer 5, SSX on Tour and Pokemon Emerald are all out on Friday (21 October).
