Publisher Take 2 Interactive has indicated that the almighty GTA series isn't going to appear on next-gen consoles until 2007, although we can expect an all-new PSP outing for the series by the end of this year.
Squeezed between several suit-and-tie paragraphs of a financial report, a look ahead to Rockstar's upcoming games for 2006 mentioned only one next-gen title - the recently announced paddle-whacker, Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis.
However, it did reveal that it will be releasing a sequel of a Rockstar brand for a current-gen console, and that it has two new PSP titles in the pipeline - one of which will be an new Grand Theft Auto game.
As for Rockstar's titles pencilled in for 2007, it anticipates "a strong next-generation line-up, including sequels to several of Rockstar's most successful franchises". And this has to include GTA, right?
