New DmC trailer is every bit as camp, violent and beautifully ridiculous as Devil May Cry should be

HE PUTS HIS PANTS ON IN MID-AIR IN SLOW-MOTION AND THEN FINISHES GETTING DRESSED WHILE KILLING A BUNCH OF DEMONS WHILE HUNGOVER WHILE STILL FINDING TIME FOR VISUAL PENIS INNUENDO!

Seriously people, how much more Devil May Cry do you want it? Everything in this trailer screams "Yes sir, this is authentic Devil May Cry". Honestly, I could dye my own hair a different colour tomorrow, but it wouldn't make me any less right about this

While the trailer looks pretty cool. I will not purchase this game. I refuse to support a company that shows absolutely no respect for the fan base and are just plain arrogant assholes. Also for people saying "why are you whining this Dante's cool" it was because of the fans complaining that Dante is now a badass again.

I said it in another comment, about not being totally sure about teh art style, but every else looks gorgeous- the setting, the monsters, the combat. I'm astounded at how happy I am to see this. This reminds me so much of the opening to DMC3- which is, inarguably, the best of the series so far. I mean, this is not going to be traditional DMC, but it'll still be amazing. Hopefully.

I've been looking forward to this from the very beginning. I've always enjoyed the series, but DMC had been getting seriously tired, and I think this will be far more interesting. Also, I gotta say, I think Ninja Theory's facial animation is the best in the industry. While LA Noire was impressive, it felt like a recording of a real face with nothing added. Ninja Theory's always feels like the perfect balance between motion capture and hand animated

this game looks awesome, and to be honest I know fans are still up in arms about Dante's new look, but really it kind of the same exact Dante really, just different hair

being a big fan of the original DmC and DmC3...i'm surprised i'm not up in arms like the rest of the fans...and then i remember that DmC4 sucked almost as much as DmC2...and then i remember that i'd much rather prefer a new Onimusha...and then i remember that in the end...i still have DmC and DmC3 and that no one can take from me. well, maybe physically but i'll always have the experience of playing those games. and i wish someone would take the experiences of DmC2 & 4 away from me. to be honest, i don't really care about Dante's new look...its definitely not emo, like so many claim. you want true emo look, then pick any Japanese character's haircut...they can even make a bald dude look "emo". Hell, i think that the origianl Dante's white wispy locks falling across his forehead and eyes are way more emo than the new Dante. amazing how fan-ism can blind people. the environments look pretty cool, demon design looks solid, as others have mentioned as long as there aren't any frame rate issues this should be a worthy installment (but again that doesn't mean much thanks to DmC2&4) and no, before anyone tells me to get off Ninja Theory's dick, i haven't played Heavenly Sword or Enslaved.

I just looked at the PAX cosplay pictures earlier. At least Dante will be easy to cosplay now. All you need is a pair of black jeans and a terrible haircut then you're good to go! On topic: As funny and exciting as the game looks, I still miss Dante's outlandish and iconic dress style -- not just his hair. Also, I can't help but to wonder how much backlash there would be if George Lucas decided to bring back Darth Vader in a between-episode movie and drastically change his iconic look into a leaner, more modernized appearance (and "updated" helmet, of course).

I don't know... The original series felt much closer to what my generation loved... this is more like "Max Payne got up this morning, he was 20 years younger and felt like he had too many drinks last night so he saw illusions of demons who were actually real but the collateral damage he caused while fighting them seemed like terrorist attacks to the rest of the world. Now everyone is after him." This feels wrong and certainly not Devil May Cry... now it truly feels like DMC...

as long as it runs smooth with no frame rate issues and has a wide and varied moveset for pulling off sss combos then i'll be happy,but i am very sceptical ninja theory can pull this off i loved enslaved but it was let down by average combat and a dodgy frame rate that's the only reason i have not been entirley behind capcom's decission for getting ninja theory to make dmc as i loved dmc 3 and 4,but it does look pretty sweet so fingers crossed.
