Hot on the heels of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge receiving Australia's first newly-minted R18+ rating, Warner Bros has confirmed its plans to resubmit Mortal Kombat for classification.
The game, originally RC'd in 2010, has since evolved into an updated "Komplete Edition", and it's that edition that Warner Bros is in the process of submitting to Australia's Classification Board. In a statement they said "Warner Bros Entertainment Australia will be submitting the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for classification under the new R18+ classification category." The publisher was unwilling to provide further comment.
We'll let you know the Classification Board's verdict as soon as it emerges.
