  *invincibillity*:hold right on controller 2 while playing, and jump into a pit.You wont die, you can walk around in it.Once in the pit, jump in and out.Eventually youre energy will drain,but you'll still be alive.Now you're now invinsible.You do not need to hold right down on controller two any more.
  NOTE: If you pick up any energy items, or use an energy tank, you'll now longer be invinsible. You can still die if you fall on spikes.If you have trouble using this, try releasing right on controller two, in the pit for a second.

  One the first level of DR. Wileys castle, you'll find an energy tank, get it then kill yourself. Then continue the game. You can continue this process untill you have 9 continues.
  Cheat M-tank one up trick. During the game if you have an M-tank and full energy for life and all weapons, pause the game and use an M-tank. All the enemies will be turned into one ups. NOTE. Doesn't work on bosses. Sorry. :(
