Mass Effect 3 VGA trailer filled with gameplay, death from above

The war comes to earth in new trailer for the trilogy’s finale

Mass Effect 3 was first revealed at the 2010 VGAs, so it only makes sense that we’d see more of the game at the 2011 event. In the new trailer for BioWare’s and EA’s huge title, it was heavy on the action, with nary a dialogue tree in sight. Check it out…

Though it at first seemed to be more of the filmic “intergalactic war” stuff we’d seen before, the trailer made a shift to HUD-filled gameplay, showing that the cinematic action can’t be contained to cutscenes. And just when things looked darkest for Sheppard and the gang, out jumps unlikely help from a big ass sandworm. Didn't see that one coming, though we do see Mass Effect 3 coming to PS3, 360, and PC in March.

The Thresher Maw showing up was crazy! It's going to be amazing watching all of races throughout the galaxy uniting to fight the Reapers. Krogans fighting alongside Turians and Asari and Shepard calling in some Rachni and Geth as backup?! Sign me up!

I was slightly disappointed by some changes in ME2 (few weapons/powers/cooldowns/ammo/less armor) but I am very much looking forward to ME3. Can't wait to continue both of my Shepard's journeys.

It's hard to believe any of this will be playing on my Xbox. It's hard to imagine it's a Goddamned GAME. That was too beautiful, too fluid, and too awesome for my humble hands to play. And I'm a light Mass Effect fan.

Easily my most anticipated game for 2012, even more so than Bioshock and The Last Guardian. Here's hoping we get Garrus in our team early on, 'cause he's NEVER leaving my side in ME3.

The ONLY problem i can think of so far besides it not being out yet is the speed at which shepard moves and reacts relative to everything else. It looks a little too...arcadey? Or am I just seeing things

You used the wrong spelling of Shepard! You forever shamed me Gilbert! Anyway, I expected the thresher maw, (not sandworm Gilbert) seeing as Game Informer outed the moment back in their May 2011 issue, they were on Tuchanka, and the Hammer they activated said it was going to bring forth a maw. March can't come soon enough!

For those who didn't notice, that battlefield is actually the challenge grounds from ME1, where you have to do the tests to prove Wrex is a true Krogan or w/e. Pushing in that beacon is how you called the Thresher Maw....jusaayin.
