Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer takes you on a magic train ride

A new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer gives us our best look at the game in action yet. Sora, Donald, and Goofy take part in some combat on ground, county-fair style rocking ship, and roller-coaster style magic train.

The series' unique action RPG combat looks relatively unchanged, but buttery smooth next-gen visuals ought to be a treat for fans who patiently waited out an entire console generation for a numbered release in the franchise-crossing franchise.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will hit PS4 and Xbox One at an unspecified date. Until then, you can check out Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix right now and HD 2.5 Remix next year, both on PS3.

I cannot wait for this to come out. This will be the game that gets me to buy a PS4. No doubt about it. Loved the first two main games, have bought the HD remix for KH1 so will be giving that a go in the next few weeks. Is it too much to wish for a lightsaber keyblade?

I literally gasped in surprise when I saw this on the main page. I can't remember actually gasping about anything at any other point in my life. It's probably the game I've wanted more than anything else. It's my Half Life 3.

When I first saw more gameplay, I flipped out and got all excited. Of course, it was cool to see more gameplay and obviously more progress is being made. I was just hoping for some new worlds. Still, this game looks CRISP.

I thought I was on a virtual tour of Disney Land. I wish it would come out already :(

Looking great, i love how the Stone Golem looks. So they are making homages to the rides in Disney Land huh? Awesome

Looks to me like Disney Land may be some sort of Twilight/Traverse Town world too. Fingers crossed!

I just didn't really see the point of it to be honest. It didn't really show anything groundbreaking :|. Just seems to be something to keep the "hype" train rolling. Probably not going to see anything substantial until next E3 :P

    Looking nice!

Wow, are they giving a fantasy context to the Thunder Mountain ride?
  • Talvari - October 15, 2013 8:06 a.m.

Yup...It's Kingdom Hearts alright. Not sure why they're showing footage when the game is at least 1 year from release, and even that's probably super unlikely. Guess anything to keep the hype train going. I just hope they spice up the combat system more after like..a billion years xD

I think it'll probably be 2 to 3 years since Final Fantasy is the current priority

Yeah, this even in this early stage, looks like cinematic QTE sequences. Also it kind of bogs my mind seeing it rendered this way in this early stage. I think their priorities should be in innovating it's game design, not just scale what has been previously established.
