This article is pure genius, what about next-gen books twice as much as regular books but come with higher definition text

Instead of console wars, we have hardcover vs paperback. And the leather-bound master race makes fun of both.

And the new cool tech kids would get Kindle editions and start over a whole new debate.

Book enthusiast kills parents with a revolver after reading two books over the weekend, local Senator feels that books are leading today's youth to become more violent and out-of-control, he feels it is just that the government should step in to monitor and observe what books are being read by our children.

Is Horse-Radar.com where you guys met B. Buttercup?

Nah, we just bought a particularly undercooked hamburger.

God, I just finished reading the first tome of Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty. 11 more to go...

The confusing bits are yet to come. Wait till the lead character starts running around a tanker naked while recieving letters from his CO telling him repeatedly to shut the book. I tell you, I honestly did it the first time. And then the entire book turns out just to be a weird meta-redraft of the first book, which is even odder. Oh, and while Raiden is naked, turn the pages back and forward in the right order and you'll get a surprise in the top right-hand corner of the page. You'll see. I take my hat off though to the bookmarking system - you know, flicking through to the index and actually sending a letter to the given address in return for a bookmark. Very clever, and worth the novelty, even if it's perhaps not the most efficient system.

Am I the only one who hated trying to read a HD book with my SD glasses? It was pretty much impossible to read the words.

    Oh very good :D

-My book is better because it has 3000 pages of content why should I pay the same for 1000 pages. I don't care if it's the same story I've been reading every year, this time the marines describe their arm hairs and tell how fish move when approaching to them.

Don't you just hate it when you buy a seemingly complete book only to find that several of the chapters have been ripped out by the money-hungry publisher and that that you have to buy them seperately? Or when you go to a book club to have a fun and entertaining chat about your favourite book, only to find the other club members are angry bratty 12 year olds who shout obscenities about your mother across the table? To hell with these crappy books, I'm going to play some videogames.

Article like this is the reason I came to this site. Also, would be nice to mention the competition between publishers about who can cramp more letters in pages and fanreaders that keep arguing which books have better font and more letters.

At least we would have more comic books! We would have many choose your own adventure novels for the books with multiple endings. Also a 3dbook wouldn't be to bad, words and pictures popping off the pages!

What about the 2dbook? There is no cover and you can't close it.
  • Rub3z - August 29, 2013 11:29 p.m.

    Ummm, you mean a pop-up book? :P
  • Eightboll812 - August 29, 2013 10:51 a.m.

Nice job. You missed an opportunity to do something about "readers" (gamers) and book publishing fanboys in the alternate reality though ;-).
  • artcellrox - August 29, 2013 10:48 a.m.

    *slow clap*
