When in character select mode just pick a character with a costume that has something that they wear on their heads (such as hats, masks and so on). Select the character with the Y button and this should take thier headwear off. PS:this does not work on all characters.

When you play as Spartan-458 on the level Gambler's Paradise, a Warthog drives down the road carrying UNSC Marines. Only works when you're playing as the Spartan!

When your opponent attacks you and you collapse to the ground, press down & X at the same time to do a surprising trip kick. This will stun your opponent long enough for you to perform an effective combo or grapple.

In order to get Spartan 458 you have to beat all the characters including Helena.

Biolab Core: Completing Story Mode once will unlock the Biolab core Stage.
Nassau: The Nassau Station stage will become available when the SPARTAN-458 character is unlocked.
Tatami: Complete the story mode for all 17 characters. Unlock all hidden costumes for all 21 costumes. Unlock the system voice for all 22 characters.

Beat story mode once.

Complete a character's Exercise session in Sparring Mode. You can then go choose the voice in the Settings menu.

Unlock the System voices for all 21 characters (Ein doesn't have one).
