THQ announced it will be giving everyone who pre-orders a regular edition of Vigil Games' Darksiders II a free upgrade to the Limited Edition. We normally advise against making deals with Death, but in this case it's worth a consideration.
The Darksiders II Limited Edition will ship with an online code redeemable for the the game's first single-player Argul's Tomb DLC, when it becomes available for download.
THQ also took the opportunity to dig into its Darksiders II Collector's Edition, which also comes with the Argul's Tomb DLC, as well as a whack of god-like extras including a life-sized replica Death Mask with display, a hard-cover Darksiders II art book, digital copy of the game's soundtrack, and an in-game Shadow of Death armor and scythe set which is said to offer a small leg up in the adventure to come.
Both the (newly free) Limited Edition and Collector's Edition will launch along Darksiders II on June 26 in North America, and June 29 in Europe.
