Shooter fans in Japan will get to choose between a dubbed and subtitled version of Call of Duty: Black Ops when it releases this winter. You can get a taste of what western warfare sounds like when it’s dubbed in Japanese by checking out this recent trailer.
There’s no new footage or details, in the commercial. But hearing a Japanese narration over gameplay footage from the Vietnam War in a definitively western title was one of the strangest experiences we’ve had today.

The subtitled version is scheduled to release in Japan on November 18 with the dubbed version set to follow on December 16. Western audiences can look forward to a much earlier release on November 9.
