This is a great article, Speed Running is awesome, whether for crucial time, for personal enjoyment or if an assholes stupid treasure hunt mission tells you to complete a chapter at one hell of a strict time, there's allot you can do just for speedruns and help you enjoy the experience. 7 couldn't be anymore truer, I remember back when Nintendo was celebrating an anniversary at Nintendo World (It was Mario's I believe) the guy who was known for completing Super Mario bros in 5 minutes was there and wanted to show Miyamoto saying its his very first attempt at using the Wiimote version , wanting to show himself impressive, but due to not practicing and that little shit who keeps pretending this guy never played the fucking game before he failed, but Miyamoto understood his intentions.

My Speedrun Cycle: 1. Try out level for first time, don't care about time. 2. Try out level at a later time, get a decent time. 3. Try out for a serious speed run, get a good time, feel proud. 4. Watch YouTube, see a much better speed run, try to beat it, can't, rage. 5. Try and try, tire fingers, live on fries and coke diet, shun social life and sleep attempting to beat run. 6. Successfully beats watched speedrun, feel proud, sees the light. 7. Sees new YouTube video beat that run in half the time with less effort. 8. Rage Quit. 9. Get new game. 10. Repeat Step 1.
