I would love if they remade black that was on ps2 and xbox for ps4

I would love Far Cry 3 remake and also the splinter cell series.

I think Bioshock 1 would also be a great game to remake on ps4 and xbox one. Infinite was a great game, but the atmosphere in Bioshock 1 of that cramped, underwater city was spectacular. I'd love that on next gen.

Every single one of these game (well just about all of them) would be excellent remakes...ESPECIALLY Red Dead and Skyrim! Oh and you forgot Mass Effect trilogy...you fascists you!

I don't think a single one of these is needed or even wanted. The only game that needed it was GTA and it got it.

mass effect trilogy with all playable squadmates

Seriously, the last thing we need is remakes. If remakes are the answer, why buy a remake for PS4/XBONE when I can just buy the remake of the remake for PS5/XBONE2? It makes no sense. Let the old games lay where they are. Time for companies to come up with some original ideas.

This whole remake madness is BS. Why would you want for example Skyrim, to be on next-gen? Don't we, as gamers, want something new? Instead of a remake, make a new Elder Scrolls game. or Mirror's Edge 2, Red Dead Redempton 2, something that moves the industry forward. Not milking that "one-game-that-everybody-loves".

If there is a Mirrors Edge sequel, I will play it (I played the mobile version, but it just didn't have the magic). The first one rocked. I was actually a little late to play it, though. Every day I would see my friend playing it and he would say: "REDACTED you gotta try this game, man!" "Uh, maybe sometime." Also, in one of the first levels, if you look down from a building after kicking an unfortunate Pirandello-Kruger agent off of it, you can see a bunch of fat (they look fat from up there) guys walking by. They don't seem to care that a man just fell 500 feet and landed right next to them. They just keep on walking around.

I have nothing against re-releasing a game on a newer platform, under a few conditions: - the higher quality assets already exist and don't need to be remade from scratch (probably true for most AAA games these days but not necessarily the older titles) - the game doesn't already exist for the PC, as that's the most next-gen there is (why would you remake Skyrim for consoles again?) - unless the remake is really trivial - the game is actually worth it (so, not Darksiders for example) - the re-release is cheap Some of these conditions can trump the others (e.g. if the game is really great it may be worth to remake it from scratch), but unless re-relasing the game is reasonable, I'll rather see the devs making new good games. For example I'd like to see a re-release of GTA IV - the high-res assets already exist for PC and the PC port is just terrible. I'd also like a remake of Mafia with current graphics. But I'll be happier if those devs spend time on new games rather than dipping into the past. We're getting so many reboots and HD collections already... Let's not make it a habit to re-release everything with every new console gen.

They need to totally remaster and remake Silent Hill 1 shot for shot. I would absolutely love that. I'm alright with them adding a few things. For example (a new floor to the school area, some interesting houses in town that you can go inside and explore, some cool creepy side missions, ect...) they shouldn't add too much though just reinterpret the original!

Great article. I would love to see a remastered version of Bioshock Infinite! Such an amazing game and I can only imagine how amazing that game would look on next generation. I don't necessarily think they need to remake or remaster Red Dead Redemption they just need to make a sequel! Why not just go the GTA route and keep the Red Dead name but have them take place in different parts of the country and have a new protagonist in each game! Also Rockstar needs to make a sequel to BULLY!

Saints Row 2. Remake this game now Volition! It's the last time you made a Saints Row game that didn't completely disgust me. Saints Row 3 was a dog shit to SR1 and SR2. By comparison, Saints Row 4 had some redeeming qualities (and is getting a new gen port, yay) and was actually worth playing. But they should bring back the madcap sandbox fun of Saints Row 2. Back before the series stuck its head a bit to far up its own ass.

I absolutely love Saints Row 2 the game is great the music was fantastic I hope they do make an HD remake of this great series number 2 with my favorite!
  • homestar99 - December 20, 2014 11:43 a.m.

Yeah. It'd be a great remaster. Especially if they include the original game, which around 95% of the fanbase hasn't even really played. Just SR2 and all the other sequels after that.
  • _--_ - December 15, 2014 3:57 p.m.

--not sure why youd remake a game that looks PERFECTLY fine on 7th gen --or --remake a game --that would still look better on a PC(well~thats sorta all the games)

I wonder just how many of these will mainly PC ports, since if anything that'll be the easier, cheaper way to do for many of these.
