Asphyxious Resource Pack

Asphyxious imagines that the world of Minecraft has aged and started to sink into decrepitude. The flowers are frayed. The grass has grown dull and pumpkins suddenly look a lot more evil than they used to. Creatures have had a makeover as well. Keep an eye out for the excellent skeletal horses.

The creator of this mod wanted to add more challenge to The End dimension by creating bigger islands with new biomes, enemies, bosses and traps to navigate. The introductory baby ender dragon boss fight sets the tone in an extremely challenging mod that requires the highest level gear to face.

Zombie Apocalypse

Bring a friend and charge headlong into a city full of zombies. Customised monsters, unique items and sidequests offer some neat distractions from the carnage, but the theme here is zombies: zombies exploding out of the walls; zombies charging off rooftops; zombies falling before your gunfire and manic weapon-waving. Thaumcraft

Thaumcraft adds magic to Minecraft, but not the videogamey left-click-to-fireball sort of magic were used to. Thaumcraft imagines the dark arts as a sort of twisted science. Wands must be carved from special trees and aspects of magic must be studied to learn enchantments. Misuse of magic curses the land with taint. If a creature dies on corrupted land, they come back in a monstrous, twisted form.

Five Nights at Freddys is a horror adventure game that challenges you to defend a pizza parlour from an array of hideous living animatronic monsters. The Minecraft version lets you spawn in some of the creepiest characters from the game and defeat them to earn their weapons.

This adds a dark new dimension to your game that you can access by building a portal out of Lapis Lazuli. Step through and youre rewarded with a diary to guide you through the dark. It updates as you explore to give you information on the Shadow Worlds strange monsters and ores.

This is a collection of mods that, when installed together, recreate the horrifying experience of being trapped in a spooky house with a blocky version of Amnesias vile, flappy-jawed monster. Not many mods offer you the chanceto learn the mysterious waysofa witch. Witchery invites you to builda lair and cultivate a garden of magical plants for potion-brewing.
