Microsoft's Xbox Live gaming service has soared past the six million users mark, surpassing even Microsoft's own expectations.
The company had originally forecast the service to gain its six millionth user around June 2007, but gamers have clearly embraced online gaming a little quicker than was predicted.
This storming success of XBL has to be put down to the great online multiplayer games that have been released recently, particularly Gears of War, with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Call of Duty additionally mentioned.
And Halo 2 tops the list of the 10 most popular XBL games of all time. Here's that list in full:
1) Halo 2
2) Gears of War
3) Hexic HD
4) Call of Duty 2
5) Ghost Recon 3
6) Call Of Duty 3
7) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
8) PGR3
9) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
10) Perfect Dark Zero
With Halo 3 just around the corner, things are only going to get better for Xbox Live.
