We're rather big fans of Coraline and Paranorman here at Total Film.
Which is why the new project from the brains behind those animations, The Boxtrolls, is one of our most anticipated movies of 2014.
Set to the soulful voice of Cee Lo Green covering Elvis Presley’s “(You're So Square) Baby, I Don't Care”, the trailer shows the chaotic happenings of the underground critters and their orphan pal Eggs.
Another 3D stop-motion and CG hybrid, the story (which is adapted from Alan Snow’s children’s book Here Be Monsters) revolves around the titular characters and the trouble they have evading the townspeople who are out to eliminate them.
When a renowned exterminator visits town, Eggs must defend the creatures he loves, and once and for all convince the community that the Boxtrolls are a peaceful and lovable species.
With Ben Kingsley, Elle Fanning, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Toni Collette all lending their voices, the film is bound to be just as impressive as its predecessors.
The Boxtrolls are going over ground in cinemas on 12 September 2014.
