Unlike the console versions of Shaun White Snowboarding, the PSP loses the mountain roaming in favor of a far more generic approach to snow-based extreme sports. With four different techniques (Carve, Slide, Speed and Trick), you need to perform enough of each skill on each slope to complete the objectives for each of the five different mountains. In its favor, Shaun White Snowboarding runs consistently smoothly and the cartoony graphics are good looking.
Unfortunately, it lacks imagination and some of the over-the-top style of rival PSP ‘boarder SSX On Tour. Still, it’s fine enough if you fancy a couple of afternoons of boarding on the bus.
