Nintendo 'starting to think about movies,' so get your pitch ready

Nintendo is reconsidering its relationship with Hollywood, according to a recent Fortune article. Nintendo's Software Planning & Development Division (headed by Shigeru Miyamoto) will oversee the use of Nintendo characters in films, while Miyamoto himself has some thoughts on the issue:

"As we look more broadly at what is Nintendo’s role as an entertainment company, we’re starting to think more and more about how movies can fit in with that - and we’ll potentially be looking at things like movies in the future," he recently told Fortune. In other words, Nintendo doesn't have firm plans just yet, but it's at least open to ideas. They allowed Bowser to make a cameo in Wreck-It Ralph and Donkey Kong to play a major part in this year's Pixels. These are major steps for a company so badly burned by the live-action Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993 that they were virtually absent from Hollywood for nearly two decades.

It also implies that all doors are open. So pretend you're a Hollywood producer and you've got a meeting with Miyamoto to discuss a film adaptation of a Nintendo game. What do you pitch?
