NBC orders a pilot called 17th Precinct
According to Deadline , the show is being described as an “adult Harry Potter”, though thankfully that doesn’t appear to mean that it’s packed wizard-on-werewolf porn. The show is set in the fictional town of Excelsior where magic and supernatural elements rule over science, and the plots follow the a team that has to police the place. The show is being made by Sony Pictures TV, and the budget for the pilot is reportedly around $2 million.
As well as from Battlestar Galactica , Ron Moore also wrote and produced for Star Trek: The Next Generation , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and (briefly) Star Trek: Voyager, before showrunning the much-loved Carnivàle for its first season.
