Mad Max: Fury Road fronts the brand new issue of Total Film magazine, heading up the Future 100: our annual list of everything that matters in movies.
Inside the issue (which hits shelves today, Friday 13 March), you’ll get the full lowdown on the making of the summer’s most stunt-packed actioner.
To give you an idea of what to expect, check out these three brand new and exclusive stills, featuring Tom Hardy’s titular hero, the ‘Five Wives’, and Charlize Theron’s badass Imperator Furiosa.
“George [Miller, director] really wanted a woman to stand alongside Max,” explains Theron, “and that was all I knew, and I just thought, 'Whoa, for a woman to stand next to him in that world, that would be pretty fucking cool.' He was really kind of exploring women in this world at every age and there was something, selfishly, that I thought was almost better than Max. It's very hard for a woman to feel that way when she steps into a world like that.”
Mad Max: Fury Road opens on 15 May 2015.
For much more on the film, check out a preview of the new issue of Total Film , which is on sale now!
