Funtico Games finally revealed EV2 in a first-look trailer at the Future Games Show after weeks of teasing glimpses. This new MMORPG will see humanity using advanced weaponized suits to repel an alien invasion of otherworldly creatures that traverse realms in search of prey, and now they've found Earth the battle for survival has begun.
EV2 focuses on epic, fast-paced battles against enemies, bosses and other players in a looter shooter framework. As you fight you'll be collecting the resources and rewards you need to craft high-tech upgrades, enhance your EV2 suit and unlock unique abilities.
How you do that all comes down to the suit you use. Will you go with the Brute? A tank-like option capable of soaking up damage to protect your allies. Or how about a more cautious approach with the Cloaker? A stealthy option capable of quick lethal attacks from the shadows. If robo-magic sounds more like your thing, however, then consider the Mag suit, which can use cosmic energy to tear enemies apart and heal friends. And if helping your teammates sounds like your thing, then you'll probably want the Pathfinder. This support option comes with a drone and focuses on healing, shielding, as well as offensive options.
Each of these suit options are unique, giving players a different way to blast through three different game modes at launch. Survivor is the classic last-man-standing challenge, with everyone fighting for themselves in a free-for-all. Deadly Mist sees two teams clash in a battle royale-style match as a toxic fog closes in. As these rival teams are forced together they'll have to survive, gather power-ups, and take on a boss for even more valuable loot. And, finally, Havoc sees teams struggling for dominance over control points while making use of hidden weapon structures or artifacts to gain an edge.
