Doctor Who, Dead Set And Primeval Get BAFTA Craft Nods

The BAFTA Craft Awards nominations have been announced, and various genre shows are in the running.

Charlie Brooker has been nominated for writing the superb zombie comedy Dead Set in the Breakthrough Talent category, while Russell T Davies is listed in the Writer category for the intense "Midnight". Davies will be battling it out with Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show), Simon Block (The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall) and Peter Moffat (Criminal Justice). Dead Set is also nominated for Interactive Innovation.

Doctor Who is also nominated for its special FX, for the episode "The Fires Of Pompeii", which is up against Primeval and Criminal Justice (which, oddly, aren't nominated for individual episodes) and Sky1's The Colour Of Magic. Doctor Who's other nomination is in the editing category.
