What do you get the game that has everything? And by "everything," I mean a story-driven campaign mode that can be played solo or co-op, one of the most active multiplayer communities in the industry, and a zombie horror survival mode starring Jeff Goldblum as a moustache-twirling magician. Why, you give it a racing, of course. Say hello to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's new mode, Free Run.
Revealed today as part of a weekly livestream event, Free Run eschews enemies and explosions for wall-runs and rudimentary puzzles. To demonstrate the mode, Treyarch developer raced each other, showing how players can manage their thrust meter and shoot glowing switches to successfully bypass obstacles.
There will be four courses at launch, corresponding with beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert difficulty. The idea is not only will playing these courses be a fun getaway from the chaos of other modes, but it will also help you become a better player as you learn how to navigate the world of Black Ops 3 in campaign and competitive mulitplayer.
So that makes campaign, multiplayer, zombies, and time trial modes. I'm calling it now: next up is gonna be the Call of Duty dating sim mode.
