Trophy Guide/FAQ

Tread Not So Softly: For this one, you have to kill an enemy by jumping on them. This is most easily done by leaping off of the small angel head enemies as they are very weak. Using the whip (Kulshedra) attack where you grab the enemy (press and hold Y) and leap off of them is a great way to get this achievement.

Higher and Higher: This can be difficult unless you’re in a specific area. During Alfheim #10 in Chapter 5, Verse 8, use the whip to attack one of the many floating angel head enemies and hold Y to latch onto them. This will allow you to double jump off of them. After leaping off one floating head, attack and latch onto another. Kill 10 enemies in this fashion without touching the ground to unlock the achievement/trophy.

Just In the Nick Of Time: In Chapter Two, successfully dodge the runaway streetcar that slides towards you by jumping over it.

Touch And It Will Hurt, Touch and It Will REALLY Hurt, Nice And Easy: all 3 Of these Achievements can only be earned with the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa accessory equipped. The accessory is activated by pressing forward on the stick just as an enemy attacks you, blocking the attack. The counterattack requires you to attack as soon as you’ve successfully blocked an attack. Do 10 of each and 3 attack counters in a row for all 3 achievements.

You Want to Touch Me?, Nice Try: Very simple, engage Witch Time by dodging an attack with RT or R2 at the last minute 10 times, and then 10 times in a row. You can do this anywhere, and at any time. If you’re having trouble, try using one of the statues that lets you shoot a lightning bolt at yourself as you can control when the lightning will strike.

Wicked Weaver, Wicked Weave Master: Both these achievements/trophies require the player to utilize Dodge Offset, a technique that allows you to pause a combo to dodge an enemy attack and resume the combo from where you left off instead of having to start over. For example P-P-P-P-K is a combo where the K is a wicked weave hair based attack, but if the combo is broken by using a dodge it will just be a regular kick after you attack. Dodge Offset will allow you to finish the combo after dodging by holding down the P or K button (in this case P) while you dodge, and then finishing the combo with the wicked weave attack (in this case pressing K) after the dodge. Successfully perform the technique once for Wicked Weaver and 20 times for Wicked Weaver Master.

Come Here Little Boy: This one requires you to taunt and kill 10 enemies without taking any damage. This is difficult as enemies become more aggressive and difficult to stagger or knock back after you taunt them. Using the Gaze of Despair automatically taunts every enemy that comes into play, saving you the effort of taunting everyone individually at the expense of enraging all the enemies on screen at once as opposed to individually.

Double, Double, Toil and Trouble: Very simple, just create 20 Concoctions (items) from the menu using the ingredient items you find throughout levels.

The Ice Witch: To freeze enemies you’ll need the Odette weapon, the ice skates, which will freeze enemies as long as you only use kick attack combos on them. Freeze 20 for the achievement/trophy. Chapter 6 has the record pieces you’ll need to unlock Odette at the Gates of Hell.

The Deepest Cut: Using the Shuraba, use the charge attack by holding down Y or triangle, and wait until it’s fully charged before attacking. Kill 20 enemies in this fashion for the achievement/trophy.

Naughty Tentacles: In chapter 9, Bayonetta will fall through a large group of tentacles with large yellow weak points. If you're precise you can just aim Bayonetta through the weak point and destroy the tentacles, or you can air attack them. If you need to slow your fall and reposition, repeatedly press the Y/Triangle button to have Bayonetta do an air attack which will almost completely stop her and allow you to get in the right position. If you miss a tentacle, make sure to miss the landing point at the end, so that Bayonetta will die and respawn right before the tentacles, giving you another chance.
