Team Fortress 2 adding brand new cooperative mode

Today Valve announced that after five years on the market, Team Fortress 2 will be receiving a completely free new update that will add a cooperative mode.

The new mode is called Mann vs Machine, and pits The Team (human players) versus a squad of robots that highly resemble The Team. Up to six players will join forces to thwart the machines as they try to plant a bomb in Mann Co. You can check out the introduction trailer below.

It's quickly becoming apparent that Team Fortress 2 will never die. At this point it seems likely that it will have one of the longest shelf lives since StarCraft: Brood War and Quake 3. We're also intrigued by Valve's support for the game this long into its life span. It seems like the F2P approach must be working out for them.
