Lord of the Rings Battle For Middle-earth II

LOTR: Battle for Middle-earth II - multiplayer hands-on, part 2

Four new ways to crush your opponents, Tolkien-style

Capture & Hold takes the same idea and multiplies it. Now you’ve got a whole mess of signal fires to find and claim. This mode emphasizes thorough exploration of the map and smart management of your units. Dividing your army amongst the various outposts can be challenging, especially on a watery battlefield such as the Grey Havens, where certain areas can only be reached via ship. To make things even more interesting, some races in BFME II (like the dwarves) can construct tunnel networks that enable soldiers to pop up wherever they choose.

Above: Bow down to the signal fire - your ticket to victory in a Capture & Hold multiplayer match.
