Players with Xbox Live Silver Memberships will have the opportunity to taste some of the multiplayer experience before they upgrade to gold memberships. Microsoft is calling this "Friendship is Free" and for a month these players that have yet to upgrade will see the multiplayer functionality functions for eight games be unlocked for them to try out.
David Sirlin, lead designer on the recently released Xbox LIVE title Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, has told of his "struggle" rebalancing the classic fighting game's gameplay, telling VideoGamer.com "nobody around me really wanted this thing to even happen".

With the release of Microsoft's New Xbox Experience tomorrow everyone seems to be wanting a piece of the action. Capcom has just announced that it will have a specific "destination" for fans of the upcoming XBLA title Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix to view the latest information and media on the game.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is an enhanced remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo featuring hand-drawn high definition graphics. Pricing for the downloadable game has not been announced.
Developed by Foundation 9's Backbone Entertainment, Turbo HD Remix features a new soundtrack, rebalanced gameplay, online multiplayer, and 1080p visuals completely redrawn by Udon Comics. In a nod to purists, Capcom is also giving players the option of playing with the arcade edition's graphics, sound, and game balance.
Capcom has released several new screenshots for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and has stated that the game will be released "soon."
