How dare you give this game such a low rating this game is a hell of alot better the merc 2. At least some of us know a good game when we see one.

i agree with the two guys above me i acttually really liked the game its really fun and feals a little like battlefront first off though im not a fanboy it does have flaws and i agree with the horse thing but come on battlefront had its flaws to but i stand by my awsome ratting 8/10

Yet another review by Gamesradar where they spend the entire reiview trying to be witty rather than actually reviewing the game. I mean seriously, if you're going to tak e ahuge dump on a game the least you could do is give actual reasons. I definitely don't come to GR for the reviews anymore, they're just a joke anymore.

How can you give this a 2?? Yes, it has some dodgy graphics and yes, the combat is a bit repetetive, but to slag it off like you did about how accurate it is to the mythology is unbelievably unfair. Star Wars battlefront wasn't much better to be honest. I mean since when did wookies fight for the rebels except from Chewy? And at what point did Darth Maul suddenly appear in Polis Massa. Ok, so the graphics are crap and I agree, the horses are completely idiotic and clunky but who really cares that much for it to make them not see a good game when they see one? Mario has bad graphics (dont deny it) but did that stop it from being a global hit? Fable 2 has repetitive fighting but that was given a 9.
I've never been this angry with gamesradar. This game deserves at least a 7. You're wrong.

really? a 2?!?
i played this game yesterday and i though it would deserve at least a 7 or 8, but a 2? sorry GR but you will have to give me a better reason than 'Wormtounge is a badass' or ' they go really fast backwards'. i have to agree that th horses are useless. plus it doesn't matter if the story is wrong the game was made for multiplayer.
anyon who likes star wars Battlefront will enjoy this game.

To be honest, i think this game deserves a fair score.
I mean, its got all the right characters and the graphics are awesome.
the game may not be perfect, but no game is

What I've played of the game (admittedly not much) it's pretty good (though I don’t much like how they’ve butchered the LotR timeline or characters or voice actors and now that I've read this review, I'm cautious about continuing), but I found it infuriating that I couldn’t immediately leap into Sauron’s campaign. I would have chosen the Men of the West campaign first anyway, but a big advertising thing for this game was the ability to choose your side in the war. If you have to complete the good campaign before you gain access to the evil campaign, that’s not choosing anything, is it? That’s known as ‘lineal progression,’ EA. In layman’s terms, a straight line! You can’t choose where to go on a straight line.

I was also annoyed by the fact that the multiplayer option came before the single player option. That's just wrong in a thousand different ways.

GoldenMe: they put the balrog in the shire because sauron ressurected him. if you didnt scip the cut scenes then you would know that.

but yeah im pumped for battlefront 3

I think it is ok. I dont really have much experience where LOTR is concerned, but i dont think it is as bad as the review says. However, its not what i expected.

mercenaries 2? to be fair i only played the demo, but i wasn't impressed- and i have only played lotr conquest via demo, and it did seem a bit clunky- its like a doppleganger of the older lotr series for ps2, only time has not given way to a whole lot of improvements...

This article doesnn't give too many reasons for a rating of 2. The classes also work a bit like rock, paper, scissors. The game accually has pretty good graphics. Combat can get a bit frustrating from being knocked-back every 3 seconds but then again, WOO BALROG!! Over all I'd say it'd get a 6 or 7.

Ok..yah I understand why this got a freakin' 2 and Far Cry 2 got a 9... that makes sense... and I noticed you guys forgot about the multiplayer load times in Far Cry 2... Start Macthmaking...Searching...Searching...Searching
