Female Spartan revealed as bonus character in Tecmo's next-gen fighter

In an inspired piece of cross-branding, publisher Tecmo has revealed that a Spartan soldier will feature in its stylish upcoming brawler for Xbox 360, Dead or Alive 4.

As a Spartan in full regalia, the bonus character could quite easily pass as Master Chief but, in fact, beneath the armour is a female soldier known as Spartan-458.

Apparently the game's developer, Team Ninja, has also created a stage based on the environments from the Halo universe.

Dead or Alive 4 is scheduled to be released this winter
