I just don't see a point in paying $60 for a game that has only one mode that lasts for just 10 hours. Maybe I'll check it out when it's free on games with gold.

You can get it on Green Man Gaming for $48.00 with their 20% off coupon. I did.

    Skepticism deleted.

Sounds good, been in a dual wielding laser guns mood so this is fine timing.

Huh, this game is getting way better reviews than I had anticipated, and sounds like the campaign is fun and worth experiencing... Hm, what the hell, I guess I'll have to check it out eventually.

I knew something was off with some gameplay videos that might strike against it, but im surprised the game did better than i thought it wouldve been striked for.

Also, it seems to me the humour was what Duke Nukem Forever wished it had gone for. Old-school and crass but in a brown-grey melancholy world of which we all seem to be so fond these days.

I've always enjoyed the Wolfensteins, so this may well be worth a look. Certainly looks like an appropriate counterpart to ARMA's 1944 Invasion mod.

This game does look good - I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews on it and and any playthroughs I can found (TheRadBrad hasn't let me down yet). Also, why can't I edit or at least reply to my own comments; it seems like a bit of an oversight to me.

Also, scrap any HUD unless I'm wearing a helmet like Master Chief or something.

What I desire most from a game, and have yet to play a game that comes anywhere near it, is realism. How is it possible that I can carry an infinite number of weapons and armour and items like in most games - My character in skyrim must have had about 100 tonnes of equipment on him by the end, that's not possible. Also, get rid of QTEs and those hints that tell you to press A to reload or climb a ledge or something. I can read the manual or just tell me once during a tutorial mission - not every single time. Also, it's not that great than the Nazis put a man on the moon then - the Americans did it in the 60s as well.

it is possible in a game. thanks to devs for not putting silly realistic weapon limits, enough of those. "also, itäs not that great than the Nazis put a man on the moon then . the Americans did it in the 60s as well" What does that even mean.... in this game, zero americans went to moon.. it was the Nazis. Weird Dave strikes again.

they want iron sights, they want a cover system, Us fans of classic games don't actually want this shit.
  • Dave2123 - August 2, 2013 11:09 a.m.

The problem is that most people aren't fans of classic shooters or, like me, have never played a classic shooter. We want good game mechanics not a frustrating game where we're like: 'Why the hell didn't they let us use iron sights, this is so stupid'. I would also add, a bit hesitantly, stop living in the past, embrace new ways of gaming, it's never going to be like it was 'in your day', because technology has advanced so that we can make games more realistic and have iron sights and cover systems.

Sad but sorta true. And I'm an old git.
