This might seem like a solid lead on the next GTA project, but it's possible that Rockstar is just acting preemptively to protect its brands from trademark infringement. The company also has a history of changing its mind and throwing up smoke screens - some readers might remember thatit registered GTA: Sin City, GTA: Bogota and GTA: Tokyo before the release of San Andreas - so hold off on those pre-orders for now.

Reached for comment, the company's official response was "Rockstar does not comment on rumors and speculation."

After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
