Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

An awesome title squeezed into a mediocre box

Carlos Ontiveros and his father, General Luis Ontiveros, have taken over Mexico. They are sick and tired of the United States and its pompous foreign policies like the joint security initiative recently imposed by the Mexican, Canadian and US governments. They have amassed weapons of devastating, world-ending power including some super high-tech stuff stolen from the US military and are prepared (even anxious) to use them. So what are you waiting for? Go stop 'em!

In Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, it's up to you to halt a global catastrophe and keep it from mushrooming into a full-blown world war. Playing as Ghost Team leader Scott Mitchell, you must gun down a horde of crazed, heavily armed Mexican rebels who want nothing more than to see the streets run red with your Gringo blood. You've got friends to help you along the way though, and your Ghost Team is supposed to be the most efficient fighting force on the planet.

Sadly, this game hardly convinces us that the Ghosts are all that hot. For the most part, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter feels stifling when compared to other tactical shooters available for the system ... even its own predecessors in the series like Ghost Recon 2.
