Sutherland is going to be part of some overly complicated, unnecessarily long plot? Gee, this is going to be quite a stretch for him. I hope he can handle it.

He's never played this kind of character before, I suppose.

Hah! awesome! I know there's inevitably going to be complaints, but this is honestly great news IMO. Yes, we all miss David Hayter, myself included. But, well, Kiefer Shuterland is a pretty fucking great actor, and one of the most significant things he has is his voice, he's badass but also capable of displaying a wide range of emotions convincingly, and I do see him fitting into the role of Snake well enough. Of course. he'0s gonna feel different, but hey, it could have been infinitively worse. And sometimes, change is good, definitely optimistic about this.

****SPOILER**** It's possible that it is big boss due to the fact he has the mechanical arm with the lighter in it.

This is going to be good :D

But Miller did not assist Snake in the original MGS, he was found dead in his house and Liquid dressed up as Miller :\

They said the original Metal Gear, not Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear was the first in the series, made back in the 80's.

It's actually David hayter himself that took that decision when he was recording mgs4 he had to have a jack Daniels (not sure if it's the right name) to get his voice that low and in the end he just said it hurt his voice to much puls Richard Doyle took over big boss in MSG 4

I'm really excited but damn if there aren't 10 questions for every answer.

I appreciate that Brian Kim was there. He didn't really say anything, but he made sure there were three people in the room.

David Hayter not providing the voice for Big Boss is no great loss. The voice is supposed to be for Solid Snake. Naked Snake should have never even adopted it and BB is voiced by Richard Doyle in MGS 4. Also, how does it make sense that he has a prosthetic arm at that point and not have one later? That's just weird.
  • Bansheebot - March 29, 2013 12:06 p.m.

Well, in his Narrative-Wise, final appearence in MGS4 his body was actually reconstructed from bits of Liquid and Solidus.
  • gilgamesh310 - March 29, 2013 12:40 p.m.

What about before that? There was no mention of any prosthetic arm in Metal Gear 1 or 2. They're probably going to rewrite the canon.
  • elsnichkum - June 6, 2013 11:13 a.m.

Actually, Big Boss DOES have prosthetic limbs after his "death" in Metal Gear 1...in all honesty, in the grand scheme of things, his arm isn't that big of deal anyway.
