Updated with new information.

GameStop has posted the details on the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition on the retailer's website, showing off the high-end bundle for die-hard Mass Effect fans looking to see the series off in style. For $79.99 (relatively cheap when compared to other Collector's Edition bundles), gamers will get a soundtrack, an exclusive mission, a new character, and a bunch of other bonuses...GameStop has posted the details on the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition on the retailer's website, showing off the high-end bundle for die-hard Mass Effect fans looking to see the series off in style. For $79.99 (relatively cheap when compared to other Collector's Edition bundles), gamers will get a soundtrack, an exclusive mission, a new character, and a bunch of other bonuses.

Most of the content is digital, but there are a few physical items to be found in the $80 package. There's a hardbound art book, an N7 patch, a 4x6 lithographic of the Normandy, and a premium metal case featuring both the male and female Commander Shepard. For those who prefer digital goodies are very well served, with plenty of in-game bonuses that more than justify a purchase.

Here's the full list, ripped unceremoniously from GameStop's website.

  • Premium metal case featuring male and female Commander Shepard
  • 70-page hardbound art book
  • Limited edition Mass Effect comic by Dark Horse Comics
  • Fabric N7 patch
  • Exclusive 4x6 lithographic print of the SR-2 Alliance Normandy
  • Additional in-game content including
  • N7 Arsenal Pack - Bring the firepower with the N7 Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, SMG, and Pistol.
  • Squad alternate appearance pack
  • Robotic Dog for on board the Normandy
  • Mass Effect 3 digital soundtrack

So, planning on picking it up? If you were already planning on buying the game, you might as well get the Collector's Edition. Who knows? Maybe you can have sex with the exclusive character (odds are you can).

Hate to do this but "For $79.99 (relatively cheap when compared to other Collector's Edition bundles), gamers will get a soundtrack, an exclusive mission, a new character, and a bunch of other bonuses." appears twice in the article.

Come on, guys! Way to do some research.

Not much of a leak as this information was GIVEN out by BioWare when the game was announced. This IMAGE was even available when it was announced. I guess if you're not a ME fan, you may have missed this but if you're even MARGINALLY aware of the series and cared enough to look- this wasn't "LEAKED!" at all, it was RELEASED. Which is a big difference. I guess when you're hungry for HEADLINE GRABBING NEWS you'll post anything.

I pre-ordered this since a MONTH AGO! Where have you been Gamesradar?

Hate to be a jerk, but where have you guys been? This has been on the ME3 site for 2 months, at least.

I'm really glad they're not going crazy with the special edition. I will never pay $100+ for what usually amounts to memorabilia I'll never use.

I'm pretty sure I've seen all of this information on Bioware's official site. Because I've seen this on Amazon a month or two ago and I wanted to confirm it... Yeah, no, it's definitely there on Bioware's site. Same as it was when I looked like last week. They link to gamestop and everything. Not sure it's a leak. Here is that link: http://masseffect.bioware.com/me3/game/collectors/

The new character stuff is nice, but that's the only news I've seen. The rest of this has been seen for a while.

You should have your own feature called: "Ho Coop with the Scoop!"

Uuuuuuuuuh. Pretty sure the details to this have been open officially for quite some time already.

Did no one else notice that this info has been out for several months now? The robot dog, the patch, the book, the case, the DLC, everything, was announced (albeit quietly) in march or so, maybe a month or so later. Why is it getting a big thing now? Because Gamestop confirmed it?

actually, Bioware has posted this officially for some time.
  • ObliqueZombie - November 17, 2011 7:10 p.m.

:O Robotic dog? And only $80?! My wallet will be singing for me after I buy a Collector's Edition that isn't $150.

Definitely buying the limited edition. I can't wait for this game.

"Maybe you can have sex with the exclusive character (odds are you can)." Um... Unless I wrong coop, i think the exclusive character is the robotic Dog... And if so, that last statement takes a turn for the wrong... and the lulsy XD
