GR+ Live: Making Austin Wintory's Journey and Abzu soundtracks

There are video game composers who define whole eras of gaming. If Konji Kondo defined the '80s and Nobuo Uematsu the '90s, then certainly Austin Wintory's soundtracks are the sounds of the '10s. His work on Journey, Assassin's Creed Syndicate and most recently Abzu have set a new standard for ambient and orchestral beauty in games. Last time he joined GamesRadar for an interview, we talked AC. Wintory joined us again to discuss the making of his legendary Journey and Abzu soundtracks.

I've been playing games since I turned four in 1986, been writing about them since 1987, and writing about them professionally since 2008. My wife and I live in New York City. Chrono Trigger is my favorite game ever made, Hum's Downward is Heavenward is my favorite album, and I regularly find myself singing "You Won't See Me" by The Beatles in awkward situations.
