I know its been a while but what the hey. We love nabbit. Well my son does. It might suck as an adult playing competitively with other adults but for children I think he's a cool addition. The kids can play the levels without fear of dying by spikes and the like, all they have to do is not fall off things. And make it to the end in time. My 5 yo son loves showing me all the loot in his bag at the end of the level (nabbit ends up with like 30 lives after an hour and luigi keeps dying and having to continue) but its fun for him so that's all that counts. The kids (3 and 5) still prefer super Mario 3D world (or new super Mario cat meow as they call it) because its really easy up until the last level, but they like luigi u purely because of nabbit too.

Nobody looks on the bright side of Nabbit. Sure, he can walk through enemies like Goombas and Koopa Troopas, but he can still die by falling off the map, getting crushed, touching lava, or touching poison. And some big enemies, while not being able to kill him, can knock him back to prevent him from walking through them. "Nabbit takes the challenge out of it". Hey, how about one of you play as Nabbit and troll all the others? Pick them up, and throw them around and just casually walk by them with a troll face! Or, like a suggestion above, you could use Nabbit as a mode of transportation: Nabbit could pick you up and walk on spikes, to prevent you from losing your Power-Up and/or dying. I, for one, wish Nabbit makes more appearances in the future. And being playable in 3D World (but not being invinvible) is on my wishlist.

Well i just don't feel so excited for this one

What? I thought it was explained ages ago that Nabbit was for beginners? Wasn't that in the previous Direct or something? I can't really remember, but I'm sure that was the reason. It makes sense because NSLU is supposed to be a ton harder than the original game, especially considering every level starts with 99 on the clock. So if you have a younger sibling or a kid they might have found the DLC too hard to play, but Nabbit lets them get used to the game without consequence. Still, it might suck if four more skilled players are playing it because someone has to be stuck with Nabbit. Might've been better to make it an optional fifth choice.

Huh, this is the first time I've heard of the timer count starting at 099 seconds, that's definitely interesting news. I suppose that explains how they managed to make so many new levels for the game if they are short enough that the time you are given to complete them is that low, this should shake up the game quite a bit along with the difficulty hike and changed mobility of Luigi. Kinda annoyed that the story is literally the exact same just sans Mario (I admit that the empty spot on the table with Mario's hat on it is pretty funny), I mean come on at least change Peach to Daisy or something, she hasn't been in a Mario bros. platformer since the original Mario Land. That said this is still one of the best examples of DLC done right I've seen in a long time.

To be fair, I'm not 100% certain on the 099-seconds-in-EVERY-level thing (emphasis on "every"), but I imagine most of the stages will be like that, anyway (the trailer seems to indicate as much.) So yeah, that's probably how they were able to turn out so many new stages for the DLC. I bet they're short, but more importantly, also concise. Also, if the stages really ARE hard, it's a lot less frustrating to restart a short level than it is if you keep dying during a longer one. But I agree, it's about time that Nintendo started paying attention to characters like Daisy who have been sidelined from the main series for too long. Even Waluigi to an extent. They both would have suited this DLC nicely and made it much more unique. But yeah, it's pretty cool of Nintendo to remix an entire game as "DLC", it's much more than you'd expect from the phrase.

It does seem like a hinderance and a game breaking addition but then again, New Super Luigi U was meant for Players who wanted a better more difficult game, so it makes sense but otherwise unless its Lava and poison levels, itll be off putting. But still, Its great to see Nintendo higher the difficulty i played some of the challenge modes of the original on Gamestop and it kicked my ass big time. I hope 3D World gets a similar mode.

I suppose you could use Nabbit for a player who is really really really bad. Playing this game with a less than good player does get pretty frustrating.

yep good idea, great even actually, so they don't get left out or trapped in the bubble, who's waiting for who is different with this guy around
