London Film Festival opening film announced

Frost/Nixon will be this year's LFF opener and we couldn't be more pleased.

Telling the true tale of David Frost's 1977 four-night face-off with disgraced ex-president Richard Nixon, Frost/Nixon stars master mimic Michael Sheen as Frost and Frank Langella as Nixon, reprising their West End and Broadway roles.

We've seen the play and can't imagine director Ron Howard will get the big-screen version wrong - we can't think of a better film to open the Festival.

The BFF runs from 15-30 October 2008 and Frost/Nixon will get its UK release on 9 January 2009.
