Kojima's online zombie game

The fourth Metal Gear Solid is still in the in the middle of construction, but series mastermind Hideo Kojima is already brainstorming his next game, a pay-to-play online game where you hand over cash in exchange for stumbling around as a zombie.

"The zombie idea I have is a bit different," he told our colleagues at Edge magazine. "Imagine a large town where half the inhabitants are zombies. Users would subscribe, get inside the town and get bitten. At that stage they become undead and can't control their character - all they can do is modify the camera angles... They'd see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch!"

Sounds... erm, expensive. Kojima continues: "The only way they could end it is by opening another account, hunting themselves down and killing themselves. Of course, the problem is that your second character can get bitten as well."

It's nice to know Mr. Kojima is thinking about original game concepts rather than churning out MGS for the rest of his days (we wouldn't complain), though how well this pay-to-play (or should that be pay-to-not-play?) concept would hold up we're not sure.

By the way, I realize my post is longer than the actual article. I am just that awesome.

Sounds fun, IF Kojima makes it a VERY VERY entertaining experience. Like L4D, but instead of expert, it would be like difficulty of GOD or something. To add to the intensity, there should be hundreds upon thousands of interactable weapons and trinkets, like flashlights, pills, and food and such. Another wonderful idea would be barricadable items, this would give players breathing room as they play (and maybe it could also be used as an improvised ram?). At least this would allow players to chat, hook up, grab the stuff in the building and head out for another 5 minutes of chaos before they make it across the street... hopefully alive... Since by the way the game sounds, you would almost ALWAYS need a party to survive. But he would have to find a tool that allows partying to be quick and simple considering the "BITE=INSTANT DEATH" rule. Like an instant click and BAM! invited. There would also need to be plenty of other conditions to add to the group experience, like hunger or energy, or injury (like from falling off buildings or getting shot by accident?) Vehicles would be an instant plus in this game, considering the instant feeling of power from being able to speed at 150 mph smearing all the zombies on the roads, but he would also need to take into consideration item damage, fuel, weight of items carried and such. Plus, the game should allow multiple characters at a time. So you can still play other characters trying to survive in an impossible environment while occasionally you could monitor your undead buddies. But at some point of the game, your survivors would want to be able to settle down and be able to trade, so it should be possible to build "safe" zones. So the main points of a fully detailed zombie apacalypse pay-to-play game should be: + Fully explorable, interactable environment. + 1000s of interactable weapons, items, barricadeable items, and vehicles. + Simple yet detailed party system. + Always Microphone enabled! + Dawn to Dusk weather effects. + Always an intense experience. + Nice entertaining zombie Carnage! Rememeber the most important thing of all though Kojima, games are meant to be fun, not another stress for the day. After all, thats what games are for. FUN. Am I right? =@=KingTrue=@=
