Final Fantasy XIII-2 US demo GR GamePlay

It's okay if you haven't finished Final Fantasy XIII. By now you should know what becomes of Serah; and even though the events of Final Fantasy XIII-2 takes place three years after the first game, you don't have to have completed the first to jump right into the sequel. The demo is currently available on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Join us as we explore the Bresha Ruins with our trusty Moogle companion. Have you played the demo yet? What did you think? Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set to be released on January 31, so look for our full review then.

FFXIII probably killed the series for me although i have to admit it has been dead to most post IX. I doubt i will play this.

No longer calling it a FAP makes me sad. But, I really enjoyed the demo. I'll be buying it.

I was quite pleased with the improvements I saw in the demo, but I absolutely breezed through it without much difficulty. If Hard mode is unlocked from the start, maybe I should go straight into that when I get the game?

Why no more call FAPs? D:

Everything about this makes me question the sanity of it's fans, including my friends: Quick-time event. Turn-based combat that doesn't allow you to move to dodge attacks. And are you not calling them FAPs anymore?

well it lets you dodge attacks just not how you think, depending on your role at the moment that's where you are on the battle field so if you don't want to take damage switch to a more defensive role.

You mean like the front and back rows in older FF's? In FFXIII I usually swapped between full-on offensive teams and full-on defensive/healing/buff/debuff teams, with maybe the only exception being an offensive team with a sentinel to draw the flak, so I don't see how having the formations switch up would help. Maybe FFXIII-2's different though, I haven't tried it yet.
