F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
F.E.A.R. spreads with expansion pack
The paranormal first-person action thriller F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) returns to battle with an expansion pack, titled Extraction Point, that is set to ship this fall.
Thrilling close-quarters combat and ethereal action will get a recharge when the First Encounter Assault Recon team returns to battle Alma (the creepy chick from the original) and her freaky crew across a destroyed city.
In addition to the expanded single-player content, multiplayer aficionados get a free patch (v 1.05) in late May that adds two new game modes. Capture All and Control game-types will pit teams of eight against one another for domination of the battlefield's control points.
Monolith Productions, the makers of the original F.E.A.R., are stirring the cauldron in conjunction with newly appointed TimeGate Studios for the expansion. The GamesRadar team will have their own first encounter with Extraction Point next week at E3, and we'll let you know if the add-on rises to the densely atmospheric heights of the original.
