Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley’s morose drama Never Let Me Go has had its first trailer released online.
And it’s as gloomy, off-kilter and magnetic as you might expect, considering it was adapted by Alex Garland from a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Directed by One Hour Photo ’s Mark Romanek, the stellar cast also includes Sally Hawkins and Andrew Garfield in a plot that follows friends who are brought up in a sheltered boarding school.

Never Let Me Go is due out later this year.
