I know Heroes was cancelled, but they could pick up where the show left off. They could kill two birds with one stone. Closure for the cliffhanger ending and a sweet game to play.

Personally, I think Terranova would make a pretty awesome game. If it isn't going to get a new season, a continuation in game form would be the next best thing. The cliffhanger and left the rest of the world and timeline open to tons of interpretation, and you could even throw the future in in spots if you wanted to. Course that's just wishful thinking i suppose :p.

If you're going back in time for inspiration how about BBC's Day of the Triffids from the 1980s? - It could be a straight-up adventure game like Last of Us where you wake up as Bill and eventually end up with Josella. - It could be an open world RPG like Fallout where you play as a survivor and go about your own business in apocalyptic Britain, dealing with groups of blind slavers (the ones who handcuff themselves to sighted people) and communites and of course, Triffids. - It could be a strategy game like Populous where you are responsible for a group of blind people and have to find the macguffin while establishing camps and settlements and defending them against bandits and triffids.

What we need is Supernatural and Archer turned into games. Also, when I saw the 8-bit game episode of Community, I clapped and saluted the writers and director of the show.

V already is a videogame. It was made by Ocean in the 1980's. I remember it being slightly better than ET.

A modern version might be lightyears better than ET though

Community? You cray. I may start watching Justified after reading this article, sounds kinda cool!

They already have an Archer game. It's called Saints Row 3.
  • sandplasma - July 21, 2013 8:35 p.m.

Your comment made me buy Saints Row 3 on Steam. Thanks!

The Thick of It game would provide the best use of QTE dialogue (a la Heavy Rain) ever conceived by man: X - Threaten - "My arse will grow fangs and snap your c*ck off!" Square - Berate - "You're the f*cking sh*ttest James Bond ever. You're David F*cking Niven!" Triangle - Dismiss - "Kiss my sweaty b*llocks you fat f*ck!" Circle - Explain - "If some c*nt can f*ck something up, that c*nt will pick the worst possible time to f*cking f*ck it up cause that c*nt's a c*nt."

There wouldn't be enough buttons on the controller for the amount of iconic Tucker-isms you could have.

Continuum. Because... umm... Rachel Nichols in a catsuit!
  • Swedish_Chef - July 18, 2013 7:24 a.m.

    Red Dwarf. Because Red Dwarf.

The thick of it? Well played Ben. I think it could make a great game, even if it turned into a swearing simulator.

Nice list, not bad, and i agree with Straygator that Sam and Max is already a good one for "hyphothetical sherlock/Fringe games" Also, this is probably not the right article to discuss but i cant find anything appropriate. Ace Attorney Dual Destinies just got its Rating by ESRB, in a surprising manner, its rated M FOR MATURE, REACTIONS ENSUES
  • Swedish_Chef - July 18, 2013 7:24 a.m.

I approve of it. Kind of surprised the originals aren't rated M surprisingly considering they cover a pretty adult subject matter and can get pretty brutal (the suicide tablet scene in Trials and Tribulations comes to mind).
