"Generally, every console generation starts the same way: early games are better on PC because developers are still ironing out the kinks with the new consoles, mid-generation games sway towards equilibrium, and late games end up being better on consoles because, well, the developers are making the games specifically for the consoles." The fuck? That's not true at all. If anything, it's the opposite. The gap is somewhat closer at the beginning, but you see more disparity later on. So late games like Skyrim, or Arkham City, those are better on console? I'm really curious to know which games you think are.

Arkham City is better on console. So are most FPS games, the Assassin Creed games, Most RPG layouts are designed with controllers in mind, arcadey type side scrollers are also designed with consoles in mind. Its a sad fact that game developers pander to the console crowd because they are more prevalent, and thats where the money is. The last game i remember being built specifically for PC over consoles was brink, and that was a clusterfuck of averageness. I wish pc gaming was focused on more, but i dont see it anymore.

"So are most FPS games" Wat Anyway, really? Because here are the games I remember being released this year that were made for the PC in mind: Saints Row 3 (wasn't ported, was instead built from the ground up on every platform it was released on) The Witcher 2 Serious Sam 3 (Matthew Keast is a fucking liar; don't listen to him. The game is amazing.) Trackmania 2 Tribes: Ascend Minecraft Shootmania: Storm (not out yet) Max Payne 3 (Same case as SR3, was built from the ground up on every platform it was released on)

Some of them were released a few years ago, but my point still stands. Also, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

very rarely is a game developed on the ps3 as well. As of today the onyl game that I think is being developed on the ps3 is going to be the new metal gear. Platinum games states that ps3 was the lead platform, ergo they are developing it on the ps3 and porting.

Most FPS games are better on consoles? How on earth do you figure? I honestly can't think of a single case in which that might ring true. Seriously - please elaborate! Also, newsflash - PCs can use gamepads too. In fact, Microsoft made a PC gamepad that is identical in every way to the XB360 controller and most current PC games assume that's what you are using (in terms of the default button layout) if you decide to go the gamepad route. In that sense I'll grant you that Arkham City is better played with a gamepad than the mouse/keyboard, but that doesn't make it better on a console. In fact, there's nothing that the console Arkham City does better than Arkham City on PC. The PC version plays just as well in every regard and can look significantly better.
