Viking Rise, the brand new real-time strategy game from the makers of Lords Mobile, is available for pre-registration on both the Google Play Store and the App Store. Pre-register to get it the second it launches on April 14!
This is developer IGG's first Viking-themed online multiplayer title, where you'll take on the role of a Viking leader as they guide their tribe through Midgard. This war-themed RTS title will see you exploring this new continent, discovering that it's filled with both danger and potential. You'll be hunting, fighting, and plundering your way through this unexplored realm, developing and strengthening your tribe as you go.
With this new game, IGG is incorporating additional sim features alongside the city-building mechanics it's famed for. Viking Rise will reflect the day and night cycle of the real-world, along with the seasons and weather conditions. You'll also have more choices as to how you develop your city. Whether you want to make it a trade hub, resource center, or a pure stone-cold military fortress is totally up to you. You'll also be able to take to the water in your Drakkar Ship, both to explore but also find new ways to launch attacks on your enemies.
As this is an online multiplayer game, you'll also have the opportunity to befriend or attack other tribes. You can form alliances to help defend yourselves against rivals, but also go out on your own to reap all the rewards of your raiding. However, you might want to find a few friends to take with you into the multiplayer boss dungeons that feature in Viking Rise. Here you'll be working together to take down bosses and fight for Divine Realms. Victory can only come by making sure you're always in control of the battlefield, so cooperation is absolutely key.
These Divine Realms are also an example of how Viking Rise is taking inspiration from both the historical Viking era and Norse mythology. You'll be able to summon various heroes from Norse mythology and Viking history to join your tribe and then fight for you. Their unique wisdom may just give you the edge to conquer that next foe.
The graphics here are also next level, with IGG utilizing new rendering and 3D modelling techniques to bring Viking Rise's Norse setting to life with enhanced realism and cinematic quality.
