If you've left Mother's Day gifts to the last minute or are struggling to think of something suitable, I have two words to save your bacon: Lego flowers. These are an absolute godsend for anyone scrambling for inspiration, and they've come to my rescue more than once.
These delightful display pieces are perfect Mother's Day gifts for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they're beautiful when finished and will last a lot longer than usual bouquets on account of being, y'know, plastic - they won't wilt and require absolutely no watering. What's more, it's a creative project to sink your teeth into. As well as being a pretty ornament, they're a fun puzzle to solve... and that's why Lego flowers are amongst the best Lego sets, if you ask me.
Happily, many models from the Lego flowers range are on offer at Amazon right now for Spring Deal Days. These run until Mother's Day, so as long as you order as soon as possible on Prime delivery, they should arrive in time. Here are the kits I'd recommend prioritising.
This is one of the more expensive Lego flowers sets, so seeing it drop by a massive £20+ is a (literal) big deal. It's never been cheaper than it is now either, as it's normally somewhere between £35 and £37. Just remember, it doesn't come with a vase so you'll need to buy one separately or use an existing one.
As one of the biggest discounts I've seen for Lego flowers this week, this offer is a great option if you want a top-up Mother's Day gift alongside something else or are trying to keep costs down. The one thing to bear in mind is that this doesn't come with a vase, so your mum will need a spare one or you'll have to buy one yourself.
We're almost at a record low price with this offer - actually, we're just six pence away. I know that orchids are supposed to be some of the easiest plants to keep alive, but my family struggles with them for some reason - so this fake, but still gorgeous, version makes the perfect present. It comes with its own pot too, so it's a complete gift in one box.
Want something a little different for your mum? This is a vibrant, eye-catching build that sidesteps the tried and tested flower bouquet. It comes with a Lego pot too, so no extra vase is needed.
If your mum prefers a wild-flower bouquet, this is a solid choice. While it doesn't come with a vase (you'll need to buy or supply one separately), it's a visually stunning spray of colour. We bought this for my mother in law a couple years ago, and it's still up in pride of place in her dining room.
It's not a massive discount, but this set is really new - it only came out in January. As such, that's a great price for it. Indeed, the Flowering Cactus has only been a few pence cheaper.
This is another one to file under the "more left-field choice" category. While it isn't a classic flower bouquet, it's undeniably stunning. This might be one of my favorite designs from the Lego flowers range.
Is mum ready for summer to get going? This is a good way to inject a ray of sunshine into spring, and this kit (which only came out a couple of months ago) hasn't ever been cheaper than it is now.
Spring is in the air, and tulips are such an iconic part of the season - so it's a shame they don't last longer. With this Lego flower design, though, they can! And thanks to the sale, they've only ever been a few pence cheaper.
