Extreme shenanigans
A new console launch is an exciting event with many gamers joining the queues outside their local game store to be one of the first to get their hands on a shiny new console. Look out for the extreme fans lying shivering in a sleeping back near the front of the line, having set up camp on the street two days before launch.

Long-term damage?
Apart from coming away with frost bite, a bladder infection and a vastly depleted bank balance – or maybe even a gun-shot wound – extreme gamers will most likely tell you the experience was well worth it. After 48 sleepless hours fans will no doubt head home for a 48 hour play-session on their new baby and then pass out from exhaustion. Long term, they’ll get over the tiredness and be left with a warm fuzzy feeling of smugness.
