You're only as good as what you can see
In a game as massive in scale and scope as SupCom, reconnaissance is crucial to your success. Scout units play a vital role as they can give you some idea of what your foes are up to and how to counter their strategies ahead of time. Set your scouts on patrol mode and let them be your eyes and ears all over the map.
Where's the map?
In a similar vein, knowing your battlefield and the terrain involved is equally as important as knowing what they're planning. SupCom comes with a great variety of maps; from small, close-knit desert affairs to huge sea-based island warfare and everything in between. Knowing each map's intricacies is certain to make your job as would-be global ruler that much easier. Specific things to take note of include map chokepoints, the layout of resources, and good places to set ambushes.
That's it for part one. Come back tomorrow when we'll share our final three strategic suggestions and show you how to beat those three tricky "no-win scenarios."
