Now you can play Doom in Doom

Doom inside Doom? Oh this isn't too meta for a Friday at all. Using a modding tool for Doom called ACS, modder TheZombieKiller (opens in new tab)has built a playable arcade machine that can actually play Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. You can download the mod here (opens in new tab).

ACS or Action Code Script is a programming language that allows modders to create things inside Doom's ancient engine and add all new gameplay elements. It's previously been used to create Tetris within Doom - imaginatively titled Doomtris - and even a Mars based version of Duck Hunt. Any bets on someone crafting an arcade machine inside the version you can play? No, I have no idea what's real anymore either. Anyone got a spinning top?
